Warehouse Lighting

Loxton Installations recently replaced the lighting in a large warehouse situated in North Kent. Below are the before and after images of the warehouse.

The project has increased the lighting level from around 40-50 Lux to an average of 150 Lux measured 1 meter off the FFL (finished floor level). The new Lux readings are very impressive considering the warehouse is around 16 meter high.

The system previously had no intelligent control with only on or off operations. However, the new lighting optimizes daylight harvesting by measuring the natural light in the room from the windows, and only turns on the lights enough to bring the room level to the correct Lux reading. Another great feature is the occupancy sensor. This feature will bring the lights on when movement is detected and switch them off after a set time when no movement is detected. With these smart features and the lights being more efficient, it is estimated that the payback for the project is within 36 months.

The lights also have onboard Bluetooth and can therefore be programmed via a mobile device. Within the programme, you can customize the functions and features of how you would like the lighting to work such as; off times, lighting level, and on/off features.
